SOF CSAW 12″ 5.56 NATO 30rd, SBR, Grey

Description
The SOF CSAW is a 12-inch 5.56 NATO short barreled rifle built as a semi-automatic fighting carbine rather than a range toy. SOF developed the platform with input from Navy and Army Tier 1 end users, and that influence shows in the priorities: a free floating barrel system, rugged interfaces meant for high round counts, and external geometry shaped around how shooters actually contact a rifle under load. The grey finish and short barrel put it in the compact end of the 5.56 class, where maneuverability inside structures and vehicles carries real weight.
Shooters who work barricades, doorways, and improvised supports are the intended audience. The free floating barrel keeps sling tension and hard bracing from steering point of impact, so a supported shot off a hood or a door frame behaves the way it did off the bench. Ships with one 30-round magazine.
SOF CSAW Features
- True free floating barrel system that isolates the barrel from sling tension and bracing pressure, keeping impacts consistent when the support changes
- Integrated barricade surfaces placed where hands and rifle meet cover, giving solid indexing and control from awkward positions
- Barrel twist selected around heavier for caliber 5.56 projectiles, so duty and match loads fly stable instead of only grouping with light range ammo
- 12-inch short barreled rifle configuration that trims length for vehicle work, tight interiors, and shooting ports without stepping down to a pistol caliber
- Structure and interfaces built to tolerate aggressive handling and sustained round counts rather than careful range use
- Grey finish across the rifle for a uniform, low-contrast appearance
