The Geissele Super Duty MOD1 is a factory-built short-barreled rifle in 5.56 NATO, assembled around a 10.3-inch cold hammer forged barrel and the carbine-length gas system Geissele tunes for this configuration. It represents the current iteration of the Super Duty line, with updated ergonomics and mounting options layered onto the same balance of duty-grade parts the platform was built on. Shooters working in and around vehicles, entry teams, and anyone who wants a compact 5.56 carbine without giving up reliability will find the length and weight work in their favor.
Geissele builds this one with components it manufactures in house rather than sourcing a parts bin build. The barrel and Stressproof Bolt are both High Pressure Tested and Magnetic Particle Inspected, the gas port is sized to the barrel length, and the Super 42 braided spring with an H3 buffer keeps the short system cycling without a harsh impulse. A HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD caps the muzzle on 1/2x28 threads for direct mounting of compatible FLOW series suppressors.
