The LMT Defense MARS-H Shovelnose is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle built around LMT's Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System lower and the Shovelnose monolithic upper receiver. Its 13.5-inch barrel places it in short barrel rifle territory, which keeps the package compact for vehicle work, entry use, and shooters who want a shorter overall length without stepping down to a pistol-length gas system. Full ambidextrous controls let left-handed and right-handed shooters run the gun identically, and the one-piece upper gives optics and accessories a continuous mounting surface.
