Description
The Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II is a short barreled rifle built around the 10.3 inch configuration that made the MK18 upper a standard for close quarters work with USSOCOM units. Chambered in 5.56 NATO and finished in Black with FDE furniture and rail, it pairs a cold hammer forged government profile barrel with the RIS II quad rail Daniel Defense supplies to military customers. Shooters who want a compact, duty-pattern SBR with full Picatinny real estate on all four sides will find this one of the more faithful factory interpretations available.
Carbine-length gas keeps the short barrel running predictably, and the RIS II attaches through a Bolt-Up System that was tested before fielding rather than clamped to the barrel nut alone. The ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, Daniel Defense buttstock, and overmolded pistol grip round out a rifle that arrives ready for an optic, a light, and a sling.
