This Pre-Owned Smith & Wesson M&P-15 Axe is a short barreled rifle built on the AR platform and chambered in 5.56 NATO, part of the AXE line Smith & Wesson developed with Gemtech around suppressed shooting. The centerpiece is the GVAC upper, a gas venting and control system intended to bleed off excess gas and cut the blowback that normally comes with running a can on a short barrel. An 11.5-inch barrel keeps the package tight without giving up much velocity compared to the shorter AXE offerings.
The build suits shooters who already run a suppressor or plan to, whether for home defense, duty-style training, or vehicle storage where length matters. Ambidextrous controls and a free-float M-LOK handguard put it in line with current duty carbine expectations. This example comes with one magazine and the original box.
