BG DEFENSE TYPE-A SP2 MOD 1 is an 11.5-inch 5.56 NATO AR-style pistol built for shooters who want compact handling with premium fit and finish. It uses a direct impingement system, so the manual of arms stays familiar for AR users. In addition, the shorter format helps the platform move quickly in tighter spaces and keeps it practical for range use, training, and compact defensive setups. The Multi-FDE finish also gives this version a more distinct look than a standard black build.
The BG DEFENSE TYPE-A SP2 MOD 1 also focuses on refined materials and useful upgrades. BG Defense builds the upper and lower from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, while the bolt carrier receives a R.E.M polish before chrome nitride coating. In addition, the 11.5-inch 5.56 setup uses a 2-stage trigger, an ambidextrous short-throw adjustable selector, and an ASR suppressor-ready muzzle setup. Some listed 11.5-inch BG Defense pistols also use the SR Slim M-LOK rail and the RS5 adjustable gas manifold, which fit this model family’s premium compact AR role.
