BG DEFENSE MK12 MOD H Features
The BG DEFENSE MK12 MOD H is built on a large-frame AR10 pattern engineered to deliver precision, durability, and practical field performance in a .308 Winchester configuration. Designed around an ambidextrous billet 7075-T6 aluminum receiver set, this platform merges Armalite-pattern geometry with SR-25 compatibility features to support broad magazine and component integration. The 18-inch 416R stainless steel match-grade barrel utilizes a rifle-length gas system paired with an adjustable RS5 five-position gas manifold, allowing shooters to fine-tune gas flow for suppressed or unsuppressed operation. A 1:10 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of .30 caliber projectiles for consistent long-range performance.
The system is driven by a TYPE-A QPQ-treated bolt carrier group with REM polish, reducing friction and enhancing reliability under sustained use. The bolt is precision-machined from 9310 steel, heat treated, shot peened, and MPI tested for structural integrity. A PRI .308 Gen III carbon fiber forearm provides rigidity while maintaining a refined profile for support-hand control. The Allen Engineering AEM5 30 muzzle and collar system integrates seamlessly with the 5/8x24 threaded barrel, supporting suppressor compatibility. The fully ambidextrous lower incorporates a short-throw adjustable selector, extended controls, and a wire EDM-flared magwell for efficient reloads. A TYPE-A two-stage straight trigger delivers a consistent 3.5-pound break, promoting precise shot control. Hardcoat anodizing beneath Cerakote enhances long-term durability by allowing wear to expose anodized protection rather than raw aluminum.
