The 2023 Microtech LUDT Gen III represents the evolution of one of Microtech’s most iconic designs, originally introduced in the mid-1990s as the Underwater Demolition Team knife. Returning to the lineup after years of anticipation, the LUDT III builds upon its legendary status with refined engineering, enhanced ergonomics, and new features that make it a premier everyday carry automatic folder.
This Signature Series Outbreak edition features a tanto-style Bohler M390MK stainless steel blade with an apocalyptic finish, crowned spine, reinforced tip, and a blood groove/fuller for added penetration strength without sacrificing integrity. The handle is precision-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with integrated 3M traction tape inserts for superior grip and control. At just 3.46 oz, it provides a lightweight yet durable carry option, with a sleek profile that maintains Microtech’s hallmark reliability.
Every component—from the stainless steel pocket clip to the button lock mechanism—has been reimagined for smoother deployment and lasting durability.
