IWI ARAD 5 Features
The IWI ARAD 5 is a semi-automatic rifle built around a modern 5.56 NATO platform with a short-stroke gas piston operating system. It blends proven rifle design concepts with IWI’s semi-monolithic upper receiver and patented CamLok barrel lock-up mechanism for improved modularity, rigidity, and maintenance access. This 16-inch configuration is designed for tactical use, high-volume training, home defense, and duty-focused applications where reliability and serviceability matter.
The two-position piston system allows the rifle to be configured for suppressed or unsuppressed use while helping reduce heat and carbon buildup in the action. In addition, the cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel supports long service life, corrosion resistance, and consistent performance through regular use. The modular aluminum M-LOK handguard provides accessory mounting space for lights, grips, and other rifle equipment. The 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers give the rifle a strong foundation, while the 6-position adjustable polymer stock and AR-style grip provide familiar handling.
