The Dillon Rifle Co. Tortilla is a flat protective hot gear mat designed to protect benches, gear, firearms, and range surfaces from extreme heat. Built as an open-face version of Dillon Rifle Co.’s Jalapeño hot suppressor cover concept, the Tortilla gives you a simple barrier between hot equipment and the surface underneath it.
The idea comes from real high-heat use. Dillon Rifle Co. adapted technology used for handling hot M134D Minigun components, using a felted carbon interior capable of resisting temperatures up to 1800 degrees. That makes the Tortilla useful for placing down hot rifles, suppressors, barrels, or other gear after heavy shooting without worrying about melting plastic tables, nylon webbing, or other range equipment.
The 20-inch by 12-inch layout gives you enough room to use it as a protective range mat, while the cotton side can also function as a general work surface when heat protection is not needed. Finished with a durable exterior and custom woven nylon webbing, the Tortilla is a practical piece of range gear for anyone who shoots enough to know how quickly hot equipment can become a problem.
