The ROCK ISLAND ROCK ULTRA FS 1911 is a full-size .45 ACP pistol built on the traditional Series 70 pattern with enhanced performance features. Constructed to Rock Island Armory’s production standards, it combines precision CNC machining with hand-fitting to maintain consistent tolerances and dependable operation. The 5-inch button-rifled barrel works in conjunction with a full-length guide rod to promote smooth cycling and stable lockup. Its smooth, angled slide profile supports streamlined handling while preserving the classic 1911 manual of arms.
A low-profile LPA MPS1-type adjustable rear sight pairs with a dovetail-mounted fiber optic front sight to provide a clear and adaptable sight picture. The skeletonized hammer and trigger incorporate an adjustable overtravel stop, contributing to a controlled break within the factory 4–6 lb range. An ambidextrous thumb safety enhances accessibility for right- and left-handed shooters, while G10 grip panels offer secure traction under recoil. Finished in a parkerized matte coating, both the slide and frame are treated for durability and corrosion resistance. Designed as a performance-oriented 1911, the Ultra FS balances traditional single-action operation with practical enhancements for range or defensive use.
