Description

This Pre-Owned Century Arms GP/WASR-10/63 is a 7.62x39mm semi-automatic rifle built on the AKM pattern, assembled by Century Arms from Romanian military surplus parts on a stamped steel receiver and chambered around the familiar long-stroke gas piston action. The GP/WASR-10/63 designation covers the single-stack-receiver conversions set up to feed from standard AK magazines, which is why these rifles remain one of the more common entry points into the platform.

This example wears a hardwood thumbhole stock rather than the standard fixed military-style furniture, giving it a different cheek and grip geometry than a traditional AKM layout. Metal finish is black over the hardwood, matching the usual configuration for the 16-inch fixed-stock rifles. No magazine is included with this rifle, so plan on supplying your own standard AK pattern magazines.

Century Arms GP/WASR-10/63 Features

  • Long-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt action, the AKM arrangement known for running through dirt, heat, and inconsistent ammunition
  • Stamped steel receiver that keeps weight down and handles the pressure of steel-cased 7.62x39mm range ammunition
  • 16-inch barrel chambered in 7.62x39mm, a practical length for a rifle used at carbine distances
  • Hardwood thumbhole stock that changes the firing hand angle compared to a standard AK pistol grip setup
  • Single-stack receiver conversion that accepts widely available standard AK magazines
  • Simple iron sight arrangement and familiar AK controls, easy to learn and easy to maintain
