Description
This Pre-Owned FEG P9R is a Hungarian-made 9mm service pistol built on the Browning Hi-Power pattern by Fegyver-es Gepgyar. Steel construction, a double-stack magazine, and a conventional short recoil action put it squarely in the full-size duty pistol category, and it handles the way an all-steel Hi-Power derivative should, with weight that settles the gun during recoil. It suits collectors of Cold War era service arms as well as shooters who simply want a heavy steel 9mm for range use.
This example wears its original blued finish and comes with three 14-round magazines, which is a practical spare count for a pistol of this vintage. It is sold in used condition with normal signs of prior ownership.
FEG P9R Features
- Browning Hi-Power derived short recoil action, a proven locked-breech design with a long service record behind it
- All-steel frame and slide that add muzzle weight and keep follow-up shots flatter than a comparable polymer-framed 9mm
- Double-stack magazine well feeding 14 rounds, giving full-size capacity without a magazine extension
- Fixed front and rear sights that hold zero and will not snag during handling or holster work
- Manual thumb safety for carrying the pistol cocked and locked or for securing it with the hammer down
- Blued finish over steel, typical of mid-century European service pistols and easy to maintain with basic oiling
