Description
The Spyderco Shaman Salt is a manual folding knife built around Spyderco's Salt Series approach, which pairs corrosion-resistant blade steel with hardware chosen to hold up in wet environments. This version pairs a black DLC-coated CPM MagnaCut blade with black G-10 scales and the Compression Lock, giving it the heft and grip of the standard Shaman with added protection against salt spray, humidity, and repeated washdowns.
Saltwater anglers, boaters, and anyone who works outdoors in damp conditions will get the most out of it, though the 3.58-inch spear point blade and full-size handle make it a capable everyday carry folder regardless of climate. Made in Golden, Colorado.
Spyderco Shaman Salt Features
- CPM MagnaCut blade steel delivers a strong balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, which is what makes a knife of this size practical around water
- Black DLC coating adds a hard, low-glare surface layer over the blade and further resists staining and oxidation
- Compression Lock sits on the spine side of the handle, allowing one-handed closing with fingers well clear of the blade path
- Bi-Directional texturing on the black G-10 scales grips in both directions, so the handle stays planted in wet or gloved hands
- Round thumb hole opens the blade with either hand and works without the index finger needing to leave the grip
- Four-position reversible wire clip and a lanyard hole let you set up tip-up carry on either side
