Springfield Armory Prodigy 9mm 20rd + HS407C, Underworld Comp

Description
This Pre-Owned Springfield Armory Prodigy is a double-stack 9mm 1911, often called a 2011-style pistol, built around a forged carbon steel frame paired with a polymer grip module. Springfield's approach keeps the single-action trigger, grip safety, and familiar 1911 controls while pushing magazine capacity well past what a single-stack platform allows. The 4.25-inch barrel length puts it between a full-size competition gun and a carry-oriented pistol, which makes it workable for duty-style use, USPSA Limited Optics, or a range gun that still handles like a 1911.
This particular pistol comes set up with a Holosun HS407C red dot mounted to the AOS optics cut and an Underworld Arms compensator fitted at the muzzle, both aftermarket additions rather than factory equipment. It includes one 20-round magazine and the original soft case.
Springfield Armory Prodigy Features
- Forged carbon steel frame and slide mated to a polymer grip module, giving the pistol 1911 steel-frame handling with a grip shape sized for double-stack magazines
- Single-action trigger and 1911-pattern controls, including a grip safety and ambidextrous extended thumb safety for familiar manual-of-arms
- 4.25-inch stainless match-grade bull barrel for a balance between muzzle control and a shorter overall package
- AOS optics-cut slide that carries the mounted Holosun HS407C red dot without needing a separate adapter plate stack
- Underworld Arms compensator at the muzzle to help flatten recoil impulse during fast strings
- Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover for weapon lights or lasers
