Description
The Rugged Obsidian9 is a modular 9mm suppressor built around the ADAPT Module, which lets the same can run in a full-length configuration for maximum sound reduction or a short configuration when weight and overhang matter more. At 1.37 inches in diameter it clears most suppressor-height pistol sights, which is why it ends up on duty-style pistols and sub-guns as often as it does on dedicated range toys. Shooters running a single host in two roles tend to get the most out of it.
Bore rating covers 9mm along with 380 ACP and 38 Special, so a single can covers pistol, PCC, and revolver-caliber carbine duty. Rugged also rates it for 300 BLK and 9x39 subsonic loads with an 8 inch or longer barrel, and 350 Legend with a 16 inch barrel or longer. The 1/2x28 piston ships in the box, with the mount and baffle stack machined from 17-4 stainless and the tube held to hard coat anodized aluminum to keep the weight down.
