Description
This Pre-Owned Mossberg 590 Retrograde is a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun that pairs the standard 590 fighting action with walnut furniture, a styling nod to the wood-stocked riot guns Mossberg built before synthetic became the default. The walnut stock and corncob forend are present on this example, along with the vented heat shield over the barrel. Condition is consistent with prior use, with the action functioning and the wood and metal intact.
It suits anyone who wants a defensive or utility pump gun without giving up classic lines, and it works equally well as a truck gun, home shotgun, or a range gun for buckshot and slug practice. The shorter magazine tube keeps the balance lively compared to the longer 8-shot configuration.
Mossberg 590 Retrograde Features
- Walnut buttstock and corncob forend give the gun its period-correct look and a textured hold that stays controllable under recoil
- Vented barrel heat shield protects the support hand during strings of fire and lets the shield be removed if a cleaner profile is wanted
- Ambidextrous top-tang safety sits where the thumb naturally falls, working the same for right and left handed shooters
- Twin action bars and steel-to-steel lockup keep the pump stroke straight and the shell cycling reliable when the gun is run hard
- Anti-jam elevator and dual extractors help shells feed and clear without fuss
- Clean-out magazine tube cap allows the tube to be opened and cleared of debris without pulling the gun apart
