The Microtech UTX-85 T/E Gen IV T/S Black is a double action out the front automatic knife built at roughly 85 percent the size of the full Ultratech, which makes it easier to carry daily without giving up the deployment speed the platform is known for. The Tony Marfione designed frame pairs a machined black aluminum handle with a tanto ground M390MK blade in a black Tactical finish with a plain edge. Shooters who want an OTF for everyday tasks, duty gear, or pocket carry in lighter clothing tend to land on this size.
Gen IV construction brings the Dual Fuel Drivetrain, a redesigned ambidextrous pocket clip, and an integrated glass breaker at the rear of the handle. Torx screw construction holds everything together, and the knife is made in the USA.
