KIMBER 2K11 OR DOUBLE STACK 1911 is built from hammer to muzzle around the performance features Kimber enthusiasts have long requested in a high-capacity 1911 platform. This double-stack configuration pairs a stainless steel frame with an aluminum grip module and integrated accessory rail, supporting weapon-mounted lights or lasers while maintaining balanced handling. The enhanced sub-frame geometry improves magazine fit and control, contributing to consistent reloads and secure lockup.
At the core of the system is a fluted 5-inch stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate, finished in Coyote PVD for durability. The slide features brush-polished flats with a DLC coating, custom 2K11 serrations, and an external extractor. Kimber’s patent-pending tool-less guide rod simplifies maintenance, while the GT Match Grade aluminum trigger delivers a clean 3–4 pound pull. A TAG FiberLok 2 green front sight pairs with a rear cover plate incorporating an integrated rear sight. The pistol includes a C&H Precision RMR optic adapter plate, with additional footprint plates available separately. A tapered magwell, ambidextrous safety, and SST steel sub-frame with matte DLC coating complete the performance-focused build.
