Description
Hornady Precision Hunter 7mm PRC is a factory hunting load built around the 175-grain ELD-X bullet, matching one of Hornady's most capable long-range projectiles with a cartridge designed from the start for heavy-for-caliber, high-BC bullets. The Precision Hunter line exists for shooters who want match-grade consistency out of a hunting round, not a separate load for practice and another for the field.
Hunters working open country, extended-range shots on deer sized and elk sized game, and anyone wanting a proven factory load for a 7mm PRC rifle will find this a sensible choice. Each box holds 20 rounds in reloadable brass cases with Boxer primers.
Hornady Precision Hunter 7mm PRC Features
- 175-grain ELD-X bullet with a high ballistic coefficient profile that holds velocity and resists wind drift at distance
- Heat Shield polymer tip that resists aerodynamic heating in flight, keeping the meplat intact and the trajectory predictable
- Controlled expansion on impact across a wide velocity window, so close shots and long shots both see useful terminal performance
- Brass cases suitable for reloading, which matters for shooters who run this cartridge in volume
- Listed muzzle velocity of 3000 fps and 3497 ft-lbs of energy from a 24-inch test barrel
- Match-level consistency in a hunting load, letting practice sessions and hunting ammunition stay the same
