Description
Belom 7.62x39mm 123gr FMJ is brass-cased range and training ammunition loaded in Serbia by Belom Small Arms, a producer founded within the Yugoimport SDPR system and a sister company to the well-known PPU plant. The 123 grain full metal jacket bullet sits in the standard weight range the cartridge was designed around, which keeps point of impact predictable in AKM pattern rifles, SKS rifles, and other 7.62x39mm hosts.
Brass cases with Boxer primers make this a sensible choice for shooters who save their fired cases, something the steel-cased imports in this caliber cannot offer. Non-magnetic, steel-free construction also clears it for use at indoor ranges that restrict steel-core or bimetal projectiles. Packaged 20 rounds to a box.
Belom 7.62x39mm FMJ Features
- 123 grain full metal jacket projectile with a lead-antimony core, matching the bullet weight most 7.62x39mm rifles are zeroed and regulated for
- Reloadable brass case and Boxer primer, giving handloaders usable brass after the first firing
- Non-corrosive primer compound that spares the bore and gas system from the cleaning demands of surplus ammunition
- Steel-free, non-magnetic build that passes the magnet test at ranges with bimetal and steel-core restrictions
- Muzzle velocity in the 2,296 to 2,350 fps range for roughly 1,508 ft-lbs at the muzzle, consistent with factory specification for the cartridge
- Produced on the Yugoimport SDPR side of the Serbian ammunition industry, the same manufacturing tradition behind PPU
