The Holosun ARO-EVO-RD-2 is an enclosed-profile rifle red dot built around a 26mm viewing window and a 2 MOA aiming dot, placing it in the fast-handling, carbine-oriented end of Holosun's Advanced Rifle Optic line. The larger window gives the shooter more usable sight picture while keeping the dot small enough for precise work past close range. Shooters running an AR-pattern carbine, a duty rifle, or a general-purpose range gun will find it sits comfortably in that role.
Power management is where this optic earns its keep. A solar panel supplements the CR2032 cell, Shake Awake wakes the dot on movement and shuts it down when the rifle sits idle, and the ambient light sensor handles brightness automatically when you would rather not think about it. Both a 1.63 inch lower 1/3 co-witness mount and a 1.05 inch low mount ship in the box, so the optic can be set up for an AR-height sight line or dropped onto a flatter receiver without sourcing hardware separately.
