The Stealth Arms 1911 Platypus 17 is a double-stack 1911 or 2011-style 9mm pistol built around Glock magazine compatibility, modern ergonomics, and performance-focused recoil control. It uses a Government-size 5-inch barrel configuration with an integrated single port compensator to help reduce muzzle rise during faster strings of fire. This setup is well suited for range use, competition-style shooting, and shooters who want classic 1911 handling with practical magazine availability.
The tactical full-length rail gives the pistol accessory support for lights or other compatible rail-mounted equipment. In addition, the square trigger guard and funnel magwell support a more modern control layout with cleaner reloads. The Prickle texture on the grip and slide provides added traction for manipulation, recoil control, and consistent hand placement. Fiber optic sights offer a bright sight picture for range use, while the SRO/RMR optic cut gives the slide direct red dot compatibility.
