The CRKT Provoke Kinematic Folding Knife is a hawkbill karambit-style folder built around designer Joe Caswell's Kinematic deployment system, which swings the blade out on a linkage rather than pivoting it open like a conventional folder. Pressing the upper crossbar with the thumb drives the 2.41 inch blade forward and locks it, and a lever at the base of the finger ring retracts it back into the handle. The whole mechanism sits fully enclosed, so the edge stays covered when the knife is closed.
