The Springfield Echelon Pro 4.0FC Comp is a 9mm striker-fired pistol that takes the standard Echelon architecture and adds a performance package aimed at shooters who want flatter shooting and faster sight tracking out of the box. The compact 4-inch configuration keeps the footprint manageable for carry and duty use, while the ported barrel and integrally compensated slide work together to vent gas upward and hold the muzzle down between shots.
Underneath, the serialized Central Operating Group carries the fire control and allows the grip module to be swapped, and the Variable Interface System mounts a wide range of red dots directly to the slide without an adapter plate in most cases. Three magazines ship with the pistol, making it practical for range work and competition from day one.
