Description
The Mustang Honest Outlaw is a 12.5" .223 Wylde AR pistol built on Mustang Armament's proprietary 7075-T6 billet receiver set, assembled as a limited Signature Series run of 250 individually serialized guns. Component selection came from a collaboration between Mustang Armament and the Honest Outlaw YouTube channel, with parts chosen based on hands-on testing rather than spec-sheet appeal. The Distressed Grey Cerakote is applied by hand, so no two finishes come out identical.
Underneath the collector packaging sits a working short-barreled AR. A Duty Precision Taper cold hammer forged barrel, mid-length gas system, and tuned JP Enterprises Silent Captured Spring recoil system give it a flatter, quieter cycle than a typical 12.5" build, and the Rearden R2S Plan B muzzle device means a compatible suppressor can go on without swapping parts. It suits the shooter who wants a serialized collectible that still earns its keep at the range.
Mustang Honest Outlaw Features
- 12.5" cold hammer forged 41V50 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a spiral-fluted taper, nitride treatment, and 1:7 twist for stability across heavier .223 and 5.56 loads
- Individually headspaced barrel assembly with a NiB-coated barrel extension, which keeps lockup consistent and eases extraction
- Mid-length gas system paired with a triple-screw skeletonized gas block and a tuned JP Silent Captured Spring, smoothing out the recoil impulse from a short barrel
- Geissele Super Dynamic 3-Gun trigger for a clean, fast reset on follow-up shots
- Radian Talon ambidextrous safety, enhanced bolt catch, and Raptor LT charging handle, putting the controls within reach from either side
- Rearden R2S Plan B muzzle device that accepts compatible suppressors directly, with Magpul MBUS 3 front and rear sights folding out of the way of an optic
