Description
The Comstock Armory Recessed Brake 1/2X28 is a compact .22 bore muzzle brake built around a recessed profile that keeps added length to a minimum. It threads onto 1/2x28 muzzles and doubles as a mounting shoulder for Plan-B style quick-detach suppressor mounts, including the Comstock LPA, Q Plan-B, and Rearden Atlas. Shooters running a rimfire or small-bore host who want a low-profile brake and a suppressor interface from the same part will get the most out of it.
Machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished in black nitride, the brake adds roughly 0.42 inches past the threads at a weight of about 1.5 ounces. Its rotationally symmetric port layout means no shims or timing hardware, so installation comes down to a 13/16 wrench and the proper torque. Under a can, it takes the brunt of the muzzle blast and spares the suppressor's blast baffle.
