Description
The Rearden R2S is a closed-tine flash hider that also serves as the mounting base for Rearden's quick-detach suppressor system. Threaded 1/2x28, it fits standard .223/5.56 barrels and works with the Atlas, Atlas XL, and Plan B adapters, so a single muzzle device covers both unsuppressed flash suppression and suppressor mounting duty. This version wears the Gold Heat Treat finish, a byproduct of the H900 hardening process applied to the 17-4 PH stainless body.
Shooters running a Rearden-mount can under a 5.56 carbine get the most out of it, though it functions perfectly well as a standalone flash hider for anyone planning to add a suppressor later. The square-shoulder configuration means it indexes against a flat barrel shoulder, and shims are not included in the package.
