The Rearden R2S Flash Hider is a 13.5x1 LH muzzle device built around Rearden's 25 degree taper mounting interface, giving a flash hider and a suppressor mount in one piece. Machined from 17-4 PH stainless and finished in black nitride, it indexes directly with Atlas and Atlas XL mounts as well as Plan B type mounts. Shooters running a left hand thread barrel who want a single device that handles muzzle flash and silencer attachment are the target here.
Installation matters with any taper mount. The device should sit square against the shoulder, torqued to roughly 15 to 25 ft lbs and secured with Rocksett, and the mating threads and taper surfaces kept clean before the suppressor goes on. Shims are not included, so plan on sourcing them if you intend to time the device or if your barrel lacks a thread relief. An alignment rod is worth using any time the system is assembled.
