Description
This Pre-Owned Colt Gov't Model MKIV Series 70 is the full-size, single-action 1911 that Colt built as its flagship commercial .45 from 1970 through the early 1980s. The B70 serial suffix places this example in the 1979 to 1981 production window, late in the Series 70 run. Steel frame, steel slide, and a blued finish, with checkered grips fitted to the frame.
Three magazines are included with this pistol. Shooters who want an original-era Colt Government Model rather than a modern reissue will find the familiar 1911 manual of arms here, along with the Series 70 fire control group that omits the internal firing pin safety block used on later Series 80 guns.
