Description
The Smith & Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ is a polymer-framed, internal hammer fired semi-automatic pistol built around ease of operation. Chambered in 380 ACP and part of the M&P M2.0 family, it was designed for shooters who want a defensive handgun that does not demand a lot of hand strength to run. The slide racks with noticeably less effort than a typical striker-fired subcompact, and the magazines use a load-assist tab on each side to take the fight out of loading that last round.
This version carries an ambidextrous manual thumb safety in addition to the grip safety, which suits carriers who prefer a second deliberate step before the gun will fire. Single-stack proportions and an 18.5 ounce weight keep it manageable for daily carry, while the full-size grip and mild 380 recoil make it a comfortable range gun for newer shooters and anyone dealing with limited grip strength.
