Primary Weapons MK116 PRO is a long-stroke gas piston rifle designed around the AR-pattern platform with an emphasis on reliability, clean operation, and suppressed performance. This Pre-Owned example is unfired and retains the PRO-series configuration developed as a more accessible entry into the PWS piston-driven rifle lineup. Its operating system uses a rigidly connected piston and operating rod that cycle with the bolt carrier, differing substantially from the direct-impingement system used by most AR-pattern rifles. The design is particularly well suited to shooters who prioritize dependable cycling and reduced fouling within the receiver.
The PWS long-stroke piston system draws heavily from proven piston-operated rifle principles while retaining familiar AR controls and handling characteristics. An adjustable gas system allows the rifle to be tuned for different ammunition and suppressed or unsuppressed configurations, helping control bolt speed and excess gas when operating with a suppressor.
