The TRIJICON RMR HD TYPE 3 3.25MOA RED DOT SIGHT is a compact micro optic engineered to meet the evolving requirements of professional duty and defensive handgun applications. Built on the established RMR platform, it retains the forged aluminum housing and proven footprint while introducing enhanced electronics and illumination control. The 3.25 MOA dot provides a precise aiming point suited for defensive use, range work, and competition environments.
A forward-mounted light sensor enables an advanced automatic brightness mode that measures light at the target rather than only at the shooter’s position. This design helps reduce reticle washout when transitioning from dark to bright environments and limits excessive bloom when moving into low light. The optic offers a user-selectable reticle configuration with either a central dot or a dot within a surrounding ring for faster acquisition. Illumination includes nine brightness settings, three night vision-compatible levels, and one high-output mode. Tactile and audible controls provide positive feedback, even when wearing gloves. A top-loading CR2032 battery compartment allows battery replacement without removing the optic, preserving zero. The housing also incorporates an index ridge alignment feature to assist in rapid sight indexing during presentation.
