Smith & Wesson Model 27-3 6″ 357 Magnum Revolver, Blued

Description
This Pre-Owned Smith & Wesson Model 27-3 is a blued N-frame .357 Magnum revolver with a 6-inch barrel, built on the large carbon steel frame that gave the Model 27 its reputation for soaking up full-power magnum loads. The Model 27 line descends from the 1935 Registered Magnum, the first revolver chambered for .357 Magnum, and the dash-3 engineering change of 1982 simplified production by dropping the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder while keeping the same six-shot N-frame platform. Shooters who want weight on their side for range work, handgun hunting, or a classic double-action field gun will find the long-barreled 27 well suited to the job.
This example wears its original blued finish and is fitted with checkered grips. It functions in both double and single action.
Smith & Wesson Model 27-3 Features
- Large carbon steel N-frame that adds mass where it counts, settling recoil from full-house .357 Magnum loads
- Six-inch barrel stretching the sight radius for more precise shot placement at distance
- Adjustable rear sight allowing the revolver to be zeroed for a specific load rather than settling for a fixed point of impact
- Double-action and single-action operation, giving a quick first shot or a deliberate cocked press for accuracy work
- Checkered grips that improve purchase during sustained magnum shooting
- Blued finish consistent with later 27-3 production after the nickel option was dropped
