Description
The Rugged Oculus is a modular rimfire suppressor built around a two-configuration design, letting one registered can run as either a full-length standard unit or a short K setup under a single tax stamp. Rugged's ADAPT Modular Technology handles the change, so a shooter who wants maximum sound reduction on a bolt-action .22 in the morning can pull the module and run a compact package on a pistol or takedown rifle that afternoon. Rated for .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, and 5.7x28mm, it covers most of the rimfire and small-bore work a single can is likely to see.
Full 17-4PH stainless steel construction is the reason it tolerates rimfire abuse, including belt-fed use with .22 LR and full-auto rated use with the other listed calibers. Rimfire ammunition is dirty by nature, and the keyed baffle stack comes apart for cleaning and indexes back together in the same orientation every time. The 1.06-inch diameter keeps the tube slim enough to work with suppressor-height sights on a host so equipped.
