Remington 700 SPS 308 Winchester 3rd, Matte Black/Blued
1 in stock
Description
This Pre-Owned Remington 700 SPS is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 308 Winchester, built on the Special Purpose Synthetic configuration of Remington's long-running Model 700 platform. The SPS pairs the standard 700 receiver and hammer-forged barrel with a black synthetic stock and matte blued metal, keeping the familiar Model 700 handling in a working rifle that is meant to be carried and used. It suits deer and hog hunters, general field shooting, and anyone who wants a proven bolt gun that accepts the enormous aftermarket built around the 700 footprint.
This example wears a Vortex Crossfire II riflescope and has a jeweled bolt body, a touch of custom work not found on a factory SPS. Finish and stock show handling consistent with field use, with the action functioning as it should. The rifle is sold with the mounted optic.
Remington 700 SPS Features
- Model 700 receiver with the three rings of steel design that encloses the cartridge head for a rigid, consistent lockup
- Carbon steel hammer-forged barrel in a 24 inch length, giving 308 Winchester loads room to reach their intended velocity
- Jeweled bolt body, a custom cosmetic touch that sets this rifle apart from a standard production SPS
- Vortex Crossfire II riflescope already mounted, so the rifle is set up for load development or a hunt without sourcing glass and rings
- Receiver drilled and tapped for scope bases, keeping optic swaps and mount upgrades straightforward
- Two position manual safety and a black synthetic stock that shrugs off weather better than wood
