Description
This Pre-Owned Keltec SUB-2000 Gen 1 is a 9mm pistol-caliber carbine built around a hinged receiver that folds the barrel back over the stock for storage. Kel-Tec introduced the SUB-2000 in the early 2000s as a successor to the SUB-9, and the design earned its following by pairing a 16 inch barrel with a package that collapses to roughly half its length. First generation guns were produced in several magazine-well configurations, so the gun feeds from common handgun magazines rather than a proprietary pattern.
It suits shooters who want a compact truck gun, a range companion that shares magazines with a pistol, or an inexpensive way to shoot 9mm at carbine distances. This example comes with one magazine.
Keltec SUB-2000 Gen 1 Features
- Hinged receiver folds the barrel back over the stock, cutting stored length roughly in half for transport and storage
- Simple blowback operation keeps the parts count low and makes the carbine straightforward to maintain
- Magazine well accepts a common handgun magazine pattern, letting the carbine share magazines with a matching pistol
- Polymer stock and forend hold weight down for a rifle that carries easily and handles quickly
- Adjustable iron sights provide a usable sighting system without needing to add optics
- 16 inch barrel wrings more velocity out of 9mm loads than a handgun-length barrel
