ALLEN ENGINEERING AEM5 5.56mm SUPPRESSOR is the direct-fit suppressor engineered for MK12 SPR platforms, maintaining the original Ops Inc 12th Model design architecture. It mounts using a dedicated adapter and collar system that slips over the barrel to ensure proper alignment. The suppressor threads onto the exterior of the mount and centers on the adapter fitting, while a 20-degree taper locks the unit into place. This tapered interface seals gases within the suppressor body and resists loosening under sustained firing.
The over-the-barrel configuration allows the suppressor to maintain a compact added length relative to its overall size. Although the unit measures 8.8 inches in total length, it extends only 4.5 inches beyond the muzzle device once installed. Construction follows the original design specifications and continues production under licensed guidance to preserve dimensional integrity and performance characteristics. Proper mounting requires sufficient barrel length to accommodate the collar system, and alignment verification with a suppressor rod is recommended prior to firing. The black Cerakote finish provides corrosion resistance and a subdued exterior suitable for precision rifle applications.
