TRIJICON RMR HD TYPE 3 RED DOT SIGHT is a compact duty-grade optic built on the proven RMR platform and engineered to meet evolving professional requirements. Sharing the same footprint as the standard RMR, it mounts to popular red-dot-ready pistols without requiring a new mounting interface. The forged aluminum housing and patented design geometry provide structural durability suited for defensive, duty, and hard-use applications.
The RMR HD introduces a forward-mounted light sensor that measures illumination at the target rather than solely at the shooter. This Automatic Brightness system helps reduce reticle washout in bright environments and minimizes bloom when transitioning into darker settings. The selectable reticle allows use of a 1 MOA dot, a 55 MOA ring, or a combined configuration for adaptable aiming performance. Illumination control includes nine manual brightness settings, three night vision-compatible modes, and a dedicated super bright setting. A top-loading CR2032 battery compartment enables battery replacement without removing the optic, helping maintain zero. The housing also incorporates an index ridge alignment aid to promote faster sight picture acquisition from varied shooting positions.
