Overview
Byrna MAX Projectiles are designed for maximum stopping power in less-lethal defense situations. They combine pepper and tear gas into a single impact round. Because of their fast-acting formula, these projectiles create immediate area saturation on impact. Byrna MAX Projectiles are intended for users who want the strongest chemical option Byrna offers.
Performance & Design
Each projectile contains a proprietary OC and CS blend. As a result, the round delivers higher concentration and wider dispersion than standard Byrna chemical projectiles. Upon impact, the projectile bursts and releases a cloud of irritant. This cloud spreads quickly in all directions from the point of contact.
In addition, the rapid dispersion helps create distance and time to escape. The design focuses on quick incapacitation rather than direct physical force.
Effects & Response
Exposure to the irritant cloud may cause intense discomfort. Common reactions can include eye irritation, breathing difficulty, coughing, and disorientation. Because these effects occur quickly, attackers may experience confusion or panic within seconds of exposure.
Compatibility Notice
These projectiles are not compatible with the Byrna CL. They are designed for use with other .68 caliber Byrna launchers only.
