Izhevsk M44 Russian Mosin 7.62x54R 4rd + Bayonet & Sling
1 in stock
Description
This Pre-Owned Izhevsk M44 is a Soviet bolt-action carbine chambered in 7.62x54R, built at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1944 as a shortened companion to the M91/30 rifle. The M44 pattern was adopted for close-quarters use, pairing a carbine-length barrel with a side-folding cruciform spike bayonet permanently mounted to the right of the forend. Wood and metal show the appearance typical of a rifle refurbished by PW Arms, with the stock and metal reworked and the rifle remaining mechanically complete.
Collectors of Soviet small arms, Curio and Relic shooters, and anyone who wants a surplus battle carbine that still gets range time will find this one straightforward to live with. Surplus and commercial 7.62x54R remains widely available, and the carbine feeds from a stripper-clip loaded internal magazine. A canvas rifle sling is included with this example.
Izhevsk M44 Features

- Internal box magazine loaded by stripper clip or individual rounds, keeping the carbine's profile clean and snag free
- Bolt-action lockup built around the Mosin-Nagant system, known for tolerating dirt, cold, and hard use
- Ladder-type rear sight graduated to 1000 meters with a hooded front post for quick reference at carbine distances
