Remington Model 03-A3 .30-06 5rd
1 in stock
Description
This Pre-Owned Remington Model 03-A3 is a WWII-era U.S. service rifle, Remington's simplified production version of the M1903 Springfield adopted to speed wartime output while keeping the .30-06 chambering and 24-inch barrel of the original. Stamped components replaced several machined parts, and the leaf sight of the earlier rifle gave way to a receiver-mounted aperture sight that most shooters find faster and easier to use.
This example wears a parkerized finish with walnut furniture and has a two-groove barrel, consistent with wartime Remington production. There is a crack on the left side of the forend, which should be factored in by anyone planning to shoot it regularly. It suits collectors of U.S. martial arms, vintage military match shooters, and anyone wanting a classic bolt gun in a common hunting caliber.
Remington Model 03-A3 Features
- Mauser-type turnbolt action known for strength and straightforward operation with full-power .30-06 loads
- Internal five-round box magazine that loads quickly from stripper clips or single rounds
- Receiver-mounted aperture rear sight paired with a blade front, giving a longer sight radius and a clearer sight picture than the older leaf arrangement
- Two-groove rifled barrel, a wartime production variation that shoots standard .30-06 ammunition
- Walnut stock with metal buttplate, barrel bands, and nose cap in the standard military configuration
- Two-position safety mounted at the rear of the bolt, operated with the firing hand
