Description
The Exigent Defense Firecat 22 is a rimfire suppressor built from 3D-printed Inconel 718, a nickel superalloy chosen for its heat tolerance and resistance to the heavy fouling rimfire shooting produces. Rather than a stack of individual baffles held in a tube, the core is printed as a single one-piece structure with no weld seams, which removes the usual failure points found in traditional .22 cans. It carries a full-auto rating and an FRT rating, unusual territory for a suppressor in this weight class.
At 5.0 inches long, 1.125 inches in diameter, and 6.75 ounces, the Firecat 22 adds very little to the balance of a rimfire pistol or carbine. Integral 1/2x28 threading mounts it directly to the host without an adapter or mount to track. Shooters running 22 LR and 22 Magnum across multiple hosts, and anyone tired of disassembling and scraping a rimfire can after every few hundred rounds, are the natural audience.
