Description
The Trijicon RMR Type 2 in the RM06 configuration is a miniature reflex sight built around a 3.25 MOA red dot, one of the most widely used dot sizes for duty pistols and general-purpose carbines. The 3.25 MOA dot sits in a useful middle ground, coarse enough to find quickly under stress and fine enough to hold precision out past typical handgun distances. Matte black finish, 1x magnification, and unlimited eye relief make it a straightforward slide-mounted or rail-mounted optic.
Trijicon designed the Type 2 housing with a patented shape that diverts impact forces away from the lens, which is the reason the RMR line has held its reputation on handgun slides where reciprocating mass and muzzle blast punish lesser optics. Adjustable LED electronics give the shooter manual control over brightness or an automatic mode that reads ambient light. It suits carry and duty pistols, pistol-caliber carbines, and rifles where a compact unmagnified sight is wanted.
