Description
This Pre-Owned Ruger Mk III is a blowback-operated rimfire pistol built on the layout Ruger has used since 1949, with a tubular receiver, fixed barrel, and grip-housed magazine. The Mark III generation arrived in 2004 and added a loaded chamber indicator, a magazine disconnect, and a magazine release moved to the frame behind the trigger guard. The 4.75 inch tapered barrel configuration keeps weight down and balances well for plinking, small game, and casual target work.
The pistol comes with two magazines and its original box. Nothing in the handling or function suggests abuse, and wear is consistent with normal use.
Ruger Mk III Features
- Blowback action tuned around the 22 LR cartridge, which keeps recoil minimal and makes extended range sessions easy on new shooters
- Tapered 4.75 inch barrel that trims weight compared to bull barrel models and points quickly from a field or holster carry position
- Fixed front and rear sights that hold zero and stay out of the way during casual shooting
- Loaded chamber indicator and manual thumb safety, giving a clear visual check and a positive mechanical block
- Magazine disconnect safety that prevents firing with the magazine removed
- Receiver drilled and tapped for a Weaver-style base adapter, so optics can be added without gunsmithing
