Beretta Tomcat is a Pre-Owned ultra-compact double-action/single-action pistol built around Beretta’s distinctive tip-up barrel system. The design allows the chamber to be loaded or unloaded by pivoting the barrel upward, reducing the need to manually cycle the slide during routine handling. Its compact proportions make it well suited to discreet carry and backup-gun roles, while the DA/SA trigger system provides both a traditional double-action first shot and single-action follow-up operation. This Inox example includes two magazines and the original factory box.
The Tomcat uses an aluminum-alloy frame paired with a satin stainless steel slide and barrel, giving the Inox configuration improved resistance to corrosion while keeping overall weight manageable. The tip-up barrel is the platform’s defining feature, providing direct chamber access and a straightforward loading method for users who may prefer not to rack the slide. An exposed hammer supports conventional DA/SA operation, while the compact fixed-sight arrangement keeps the pistol simple and snag-resistant.
