Underwood M1 Carbine .30 Carbine 15rd

Description
This Pre-Owned Underwood M1 Carbine is a .30 Carbine semi-automatic rifle built on the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1 pattern adopted during World War II. Underwood Elliott Fisher Company of Hartford, Connecticut, an office equipment maker before the war, became one of the major carbine contractors and was among the few that produced its own barrels in house. The company earned the Army-Navy 'E' Production Award during its wartime output, and surviving Underwood carbines remain a recognized name among collectors of U.S. martial arms.
The M1 Carbine was designed as a light, handy alternative to the M1 Rifle for troops who needed something more capable than a sidearm without the weight of a full service rifle. That same combination of low recoil, quick handling, and a detachable box magazine keeps it popular today for range work, historical collecting, and general utility shooting. This carbine comes with one magazine and the original box, and carries the honest handling marks expected of a service-era rifle.
